They shared with us some of their favorite parts of the high-rise life.
A Look into Nancy and James’ High-Rise Life
Nancy and James graciously welcomed us into their home and shared just a few of the reasons they love living in the community. What they Dreamed for their Retirement Years: James has always imagined retiring in a community like Ventana by Buckner. He shared, “I’m not a fan of home ownership. We’ve always had a little joke between us that someday I was going to move to a 5-star hotel and just live there. When the idea of Ventana came up, she looked at me and she said, ‘That’s your 5-star hotel.’” Suits their Lifestyle: Nancy and James enjoy taking trips, and living in a senior living community made their getaways that much easier: “It’s very convenient when we travel. You walk away, you lock the door, that’s it.” Whenever they travel, they know their home at Ventana will be safe and waiting for them upon their return! Luxurious Amenities: “Several people mention they feel like they’re on a cruise, and they wonder when it’s going to end. But it’s not going to end!” Our amenities at Ventana include everything you want and anything you need. Convenience: Nancy shared, “I had breakfast with a woman [one] day, and she made an interesting comment. She said, ‘I chose Ventana because it’s vertical. I don’t have to walk so far to get to everything.’” Nancy appreciates that everything they need for their lifestyle is right within reach. A Place to Call Home: Along with the convenience of a maintenance-free lifestyle, they love the balance between luxury and a comfortable place to call home. They have the opportunity to personalize their apartment, which was crucial to their decision. “One of the things that was very important for me to bring with us was our pictures. Particularly the pictures of our grandchildren, and I knew that there would have to be a place for them,” Nancy said. That’s when they knew they had found their new home.
