Founded in 1879 by Baptist Pastor Robert C. Buckner, Buckner International has been dedicated from its beginnings to addressing the needs of vulnerable children and senior adults through Christ-centered values. The organization now serves half a million people each year across the United States and worldwide. Buckner Retirement Services operates several nonprofit senior living communities in Texas, including Ventana, that serve seniors with excellence in everything we do.
From Baptist Roots, Many Branches
After realizing the changing needs of older adults in Dallas/Fort Worth, Buckner opened its first retirement community in 1954. Since then, the organization has continued to expand, now operating six communities throughout Texas. Each community is designed to enhance the lifestyle of its members and live up to our mission of Inspiring Happiness. Independent Living members enjoy priority access to Assisted Living, Memory Care Services, Skilled Nursing, and Rehabilitation care when that care is needed.
All members enjoy numerous amenities, services, and programs designed especially for them.
All Buckner Retirement Communities are not-for-profit, and the retirement community division of Buckner International, Buckner Senior Living, is now the second-largest nonprofit senior living provider in Texas.
