SPECIAL FEATURES OF HEALTH SERVICES AT VENTANA
Dining Services: All Members of health services are served three meals a day in one of the Health Center’s beautifully appointed dining rooms. All meals are included in the monthly fee. Special diets may be accommodated through Ventana’s dietary manager.
Other Amenities and Services: Our amenities include therapy rooms, multi-purpose rooms, a family meeting room, a garden area, and a salon/barbershop. Our full-time program staff plan events explicitly tailored to the interests and abilities of Members in each area of the community.
Rehabilitation: an array of services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy are available. Services are offered on a fee-for-service basis, but are often covered by a Member’s personal medical insurance plan when prescribed by a physician.
At the heart of Ventana Health Services’ approach is our collaboration with Baylor Scott & White Health. This partnership combines the expertise in senior living services that Ventana brings to the table with the supervision of an experienced medical director and expert staff affiliated with Baylor Scott & White Health.
As a benefit of this collaborative approach, we are pleased to offer a menu of services in senior living above and beyond the exceptional health care Ventana offers.
- A Baylor Scott & White geriatrician serves as the center’s medical director for long-term care and skilled nursing Members.
- Baylor Scott & White Signature Medicine, an enhanced healthcare services program focused on personalized service and individualized attention, is available to Members.
- For Members unable to make regular office visits, the Baylor Scott & White HouseCalls program brings physicians, nurse practitioners, and physicians’ assistants to Ventana for appointments.
- Baylor Scott & White chaplains provide spiritual care and collaborate with community organizations to enrich the lives of seniors.
