Prayer during COVID-19
Members from Park Cities Baptist Church, Wilshire Baptist Church and First Baptist Dallas gathered in parking lots to pray for senior adults and employees at Ventana by Buckner during Thursday’s annual National Day of Prayer.
A few families gathered in each of the parking lots around the building to provide views for most of Ventana’s members from their apartments and common living areas. Some seniors gathered on the balconies to see the prayer warriors and wave at them to thank them for their support.
Gathering in Ventana’s parking lots to pray was a tangible way for local churches to support the residents of the high-rise senior living community as well as the more than 100 full-time employees at Ventana, who are now considered frontline workers helping to mitigate risks related to the coronavirus and care for Ventana Members.Ventana has been under visitor restrictions since March 13.
