Dallas’ 1st luxury high-rise senior living community will have elite healthcare services to match its facilities DALLAS (July 30, 2019) – Not-for-profits Baylor Scott & White Health and Buckner Senior Living have agreed to collaborate on certain services for Ventana by Buckner®, a $140 million luxury high-rise Life Care retirement community in North Dallas opening in 2019. The areas of collaboration include medical and spiritual care:
- A Baylor Scott & White geriatrician who specializes in palliative medicine will serve as the center’s medical director for long-term care and skilled nursing residents.
- Baylor Scott & White Signature Medicine, an enhanced healthcare services program focused on personalized service and individualized attention, will be made available to residents.
- For residents who are unable to access healthcare through regular office visits with a physician, the Baylor Scott & White HouseCalls physicians, nurse practitioners and physicians assistants will travel to Ventana for healthcare appointments.
- Baylor Scott & White chaplains will provide spiritual care and collaborate with community organizations to enrich the lives of seniors. The comprehensive spiritual care program at Ventana will offer meaningful outreach activities, opportunities for worship, and other services that support holistic care for residents, family members and staff.
