Ventana by Buckner’s New Executive Director
Rick Pruett, vice president and director of Operations Management for Life Care Services, has been named executive director for Ventana by Buckner, Dallas’ first high-rise senior living community, scheduled to open in mid-2019. The announcement was made by Charlie Wilson, senior vice president for Buckner Retirement Services, a division of Dallas-based Buckner International. In making the announcement, Wilson highlighted Pruett’s “vast experience as a senior living professional. Rick is a leader with passion and vision who strategically plans and directs quality services within a living community.” Pruett has worked in senior living since 1998, serving as an officer for two leading senior living organizations during the past 12 years. He has supported the work of multiple campuses in several states and helped open new communities, community repositioning, refinancing and quality improvement for existing communities. He has been with Life Care Services since 2013 and prior to that, served as vice president of Management Services for Greystone Communities in Irving, Texas, for seven years. In addition, Pruett served as executive director/administrator for three senior living communities from 1998-2006. “Rick brings a passion for serving seniors and is a perfect fit for Buckner,” said Albert Reyes, president/CEO of Buckner International. “His skills and experience are a great benefit for Ventana and our future residents.” Pruett, who begins with Ventana June 18, said he is looking forward to leading the senior living community as it prepares to open next year. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be in on the ground floor of an upscale community like Ventana and to set the standards of excellence as we hire our team and anticipate opening in 2019,” he said. “I’m excited to join Buckner and work alongside such a great team of professionals.” Pruett, who earned his Master of Health Administration degree from Warren University, is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. He and his wife Lindy have two sons, Trey and Braden.
